That's a game feature, not an emulator feature(unless they really edited the hell out of the emulator).
People assume this because the lead programmer is the creator of jEnesis, which means SEGA did almost nothing and used things off of jEnesis most likely. Isn't the first time they've done this.

This is all done lazily and could of actually turned out to be a true port if SEGA would get off there ass and do something themselves for once.

This kinda reminds me of that port that capcom (i think) did of their Resident Evil for the DS. Resident Evil Deadly Silence...

You still needed fecking ink ribbons! And there were a limited supply throughout the game!!

What sick minded fiend would make a portable hand held game with a limited save capability!!?

Every time the user gets off the bus after playing the game for about 20 mins, they need to make a really overly tough decision on if they want to save or not, and risk using one of their hard earned ink ribbons... or lose all the progress they made....

Without a memory editor for infinite ink ribbons, I would never have finished that stupid game.

Thats going off topic. But speaking of emulation. I would just use Chickhen R2 on my PSP and emulate it on my PSP. Save states, Game Genie and no need to get your ass up to change volume because you lost the remote and sombody is complaining about the ring collect noise.

So what is better? Unofficial emulation on PSP or Sonic Collection DS?

It's not that bad, it does run better on a DSi though (sadly no flashcart use DSi mode) because it's enhanced. In the end, yes, it would be better to go with the PSP or Genesis emulator, but if you want to buy this game used for the DSi then that too is a good buy.
